Capitalization
IceRocket searches are not case sensitive. All letters in your search terms will be understood only as lower case. I.e. A search for mobile computer will return the same results as MobiLe CoMpuTer. Boolean Queries
IceRocket supports Boolean query operators such as AND, OR, NOT, and parentheses
to conduct complex queries.
Use the OR operator to find documents matching either of two terms being searched.
returns documents where either the phrase "mobile computer" or the word notebook is found.
Use the AND operator to find documents matching both terms of a query being searched.
returns documents where both the phrase "mobile computer" and the word laptop are found.
Use the NOT operator to exclude documents which contain the term after the NOToperator.
returns documents where the phrase "mobile computer" occurs, but not the term laptop.
Use parentheses to group terms and operators together to form more complex queries.
returns documents where the phrases "mobile computer" or laptop occurs with either the term review or rating.
Parentheses can be used to nest sub-queries when creating even more complex queries. Boolean queries are meant to be used by advanced searchers and can be created from the IceRocket Advanced Search page. |
